4.4.11. Removal, service and installation of the oil pump

Removal

The reducing valve can be removed without preliminary dismantle of pump assembly.


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Take off a GRM drive belt (see the Section Removal and installation of a belt of the GRM drive).
  2. Remove cogwheels of cranked and distributive shaft, and also a natyazhitel of a GRM belt (see the Section Removal and installation of cogwheels of the GRM drive).
  3. Turn out bolts of fastening of a back cover of the GRM drive from a head of cylinders and the case of the oil pump, uncover the engine.
  4. Remove the pallet of a case and a maslozabornik (see the Section Removal and installation of the pallet of a case).
  5. Disconnect an electrical wiring from the sensor of emergency pressure of oil.
  6. Turn out a bolt of fastening of the sensor of provision of a bent shaft, take away the sensor from the pallet.
  7. Turn out bolts of fastening of the case of the oil pump. Extremely carefully remove a pump housing from a pin of a bent shaft, - try not to allow losses of the directing plugs. Remove sealing laying of the case. Laying can be thrown out, - at assembly it is subject to replacement without fail.

Service

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Turn out fixing screws and remove a back cover of the pump.

Reversing of screws of fastening of a cover of the oil pump

  1. Marker (at all not a center punch and not chisel!) mark the adjusting provision of internal and external gear wheels of the pump, - at assembly components have to be installed strictly similarly.
  2. Take internal and external gear wheels from the case of pump assembly.

Extraction of gear wheels of the pump

  1. Turn out a cap of the reducing valve from the assembly case, take a spring and a plunger from a landing nest, - try to remember the adjusting provision of components. Remove a sealing washer from a cap.

The valve can be disassembled without preliminary dismantle of the pump.

  1. Carefully clear all components and attentively examine them on existence of signs of excessive wear, chips, zadir and other mechanical damages. Replace the failed elements. In case of detection of defects of gear wheels or the case all pump assembled is subject to replacement.
  2. Assembly of the pump is made upside-down. Pay attention to the next moments:
    1. Make sure of correctness of installation of both gear wheels (see the marking put in the course of dismantle);
    2. Do not forget to replace a copper sealing washer of a cap of the reducing valve, - tighten a cap with the required effort;
    3. Before a vvorachivaniye clean a carving part of fixing bolts and apply on it a layer fresh sealant, track that all fixture was tightened with the required effort;
    4. Upon completion of assembly fill the pump with fresh motive oil, manually rotating its internal gear wheel.

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Before installation of the pump remove an epiploon of a bent shaft from its case, having accurately hooked it approaching Russian cabbage soup the shlitsevy screw-driver. Fill a new epiploon with sealing sponges in the engine.
  2. Press an epiploon by means of a cylindrical mandrel aflush with a pump housing. Track that the mandrel rested only against the rigid outer edge of an epiploon.

As a mandrel it is possible to use a replaceable face head of the suitable size or a piece of a pipe of the corresponding diameter. Having put an epiploon, oil its sealing sponges pure motive.

  1. Make sure of absoluteness of purity and dryness of the interfaced surfaces of a pump housing and the block. Track that the directing plugs were on the regular places.
  2. Install new sealing laying on the block of cylinders.
  3. Accurately install the pump into place, - track correctness of input of an internal gear wheel in gearing with facets of a bent shaft. Extremely carefully put pump assembly on the directing plugs, - try not to damage epiploon sponges.

When landing pump assembly track that the epiploon was not damaged about ledges (1) and facets (2) pins of a bent shaft

  1. Screw bolts of fastening of a pump housing and tighten them with the required effort.
  2. Connect an electrical wiring to the oil pressure sensor sensor. Install on the place in a pump housing the sensor of provision of a bent shaft (CKP), screw and tighten a bolt of its fastening with the required effort.
  3. Establish a maslozabornik and the pallet of a case (see the Section Removal and installation of the pallet of a case).
  4. Install a back cover of the GRM drive on the engine, - track that fixing bolts were tightened with the required effort.
  5. Establish cogwheels and a natyazhitel of a belt of the GRM drive (see the Section Removal and installation of cogwheels of the GRM drive). Establish a gas-distributing belt (see the Section Removal and installation of a belt of the GRM drive).
  6. In conclusion replace an oil filter (see the Head Nastroyki and routine maintenance of the car).
