12.4.2. Removal and installation of a tip of steering draft

In tips of steering drafts it is cut as right, current and the left carving.

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Mark the provision of forward wheels in relation to their naves that it was possible then to establish the balanced wheel in its former situation. Turn out bolts of fastening of a wheel on the car standing on the earth. To Poddomkratta a front the car, establish it on props and remove forward wheels.
  2. Give a nut of fastening of a tip of steering thirst for a rotary fist. Remove a tip by means of a usual stripper or the OPEL KM-507 tool.

  1. Measure length (1) of a tip of steering draft and write down the received value.

On models without GUR length (1) has to make 174 ± 6 mm, and on models with GUR - 163 ± 6 mm.

  1. Give a lock-nut and turn out a tip.

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Screw a tip before obtaining the written-down value.
  2. Establish a tip of steering draft on a rotary fist and tighten new самоконтрящуюся a nut (1) with effort of 35 Nanometers.

  1. Check and if necessary adjust convergence of forward wheels.
  2. Tighten a tip lock-nut with effort of 50 Nanometers.
  3. Establish forward wheels so that the tags put at removal coincided. Lower the car and tighten bolts of fastening of wheels with effort of 110 Nanometers.
