5.3.4. Check of serviceability of functioning, removal and installation of the fan of the cooling system

Check
The electric fan receives a power supply from the rechargeable battery. The protective safety lock, the switch of ignition and the relay are a part of an electric contour of the fan (see the Head Onboard electric equipment). Control of functioning of the fan exercises the electronic control unit which is based on the data arriving from the sensor of temperature of cooling liquid.

For check of serviceability of functioning of the fan start the engine and warm up it on single turns up to the normal working temperature. The fan has to work before the arrow of the index of temperature of the engine on the dashboard of the car approaches the sector of an overheat on the dial. If operation of the fan does not happen, check serviceability of giving of supply voltage on the corresponding wire of the fan and relay (see the Head Onboard electric equipment). The refusal of giving of food can result from knocking-out of a safety lock, failure of the switch of ignition, malfunction of the relay or damage of an electrical wiring. Also the probability of failure of a driving electric motor of the fan is not excluded. |

Removal
|
|
- Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
- On the diesel engine without pressurization remove an air inlet sleeve.
- On a turbodiesel pick up the directing phone of the probe of measurement of level of oil from a head of cylinders.
- At the corresponding complete set remove the GUR liquid tank, and take it aside together with hoses.
- Separate the multicontact socket э / the fan motor.
- Turn out bolts of fastening of a cover of the fan with э / the motor, extend from the left arm and take out it together with э / the motor up.

- Remove the screw-driver from a shaft э / the motor a clip and remove a krylchatka.

- Turn out bolts of fastening and remove э / the motor from the fan case.

Installation
|
|
- Installation is made as it should be, the return to an order of dismantle of components. Tighten fixture with the required effort. At installation of a krylchatka you watch that the pin on a shaft э / the motor entered a groove of a krylchatka.

- Start the engine and let's it get warm so that the fan electric motor turned on.
