3.12. Check of a state and replacement of brushes
Every year
The condition of assemblies of screenwashes has to be checked regularly according to the schedule of routine maintenance of the car (see the Section Schedule of Routine Maintenance). Brushes look round on existence of mechanical damages, signs of weakening of fastening of components and wear of rubber working elements.
On working surfaces of brushes the road film accumulates over time that leads to noticeable decrease in efficiency of functioning of screen wipers. Regularly wash out brushes the cleaning solution of average concentration.
In the course of functioning of screen wipers there can be a gradual spontaneous otpuskaniye of fixture, reliability of landing and which tightening also has to be checked regularly.
At identification of cracks or signs of wear of rubber working elements replacement of brushes is made.

- Take away the screen wiper lever from glass.
- Wring out inside a lock uvula and carefully remove a brush from a hook on the end of the lever.
For removal of a brush from the lever it is necessary to wring out a lock uvula, then to release a frame from a hook
- In need of replacement of a working element of a screen wiper strongly squeeze lock uvulas on the end of a brush, then grasp an element and, having pulled, take it from a metal frame.
For extraction of a working element from a metal frame squeeze side lock uvulas
- Take from a rubber working element metal holders and fill them in grooves of a new element.
Before installation metal holders are brought to grooves of a working element in brushes
- Fill an element in a frame, having tracked reliability of a zashchelkivaniye of lock uvulas.
- Put on a brush the lever of a screen wiper and fill it in a hook, having tracked reliability of a zashchelkivaniye of a lock uvula.
