9.5. Removal and AT installation

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Prop up back wheels antiretractable boots, cock the parking brake, transfer the selector lever to situation "N", then a front of the car and establish to a poddomkratta it on props. At the corresponding complete set remove protection of a case.
  2. Merge ATF (see the Head Nastroyki and routine maintenance of the car), then screw a drain stopper on the regular place and tighten with the required effort.
  3. Remove the rechargeable battery with the adjusting pallet (see the Head Sistemy of electric equipment of the engine).
  4. Remove a reception pipe, the catalytic converter and average section of system of production of the fulfilled gases (see the Head of the Power supply system, release and decrease in toxicity of the fulfilled gases).
  5. Remove both power shafts (see the Head Stsepleniye and power shafts), - if did not merge ATF, prepare for its collecting.
  6. Having hung out the power unit from above on the crossbeam laid across a motive compartment remove a forward stretcher (see the Head Podvesk and steering).
  7. Release a clamp (if it is provided) and accurately disconnect a selector cable from the AT lever. Release a cable cover from a basic arm and take a cable aside.
  8. Turn out a fixing bolt and pick up the directing phone of measuring. Remove a sealing ring.
  9. Walk on an electrical wiring from switches and sensors of transmission, release clamps and disunite contact sockets. Release electrical wiring plaits from all provided intermediate clamps on a transmission case.
  10. Turn out fixing bolts and remove a basic arm of fastening of an electrical wiring.
  11. At the corresponding complete set disconnect a ventilating hose from the top part of a case of transmission.
  12. Remove the air cleaner with inlet air ducts (see the Head of the Power supply system, release and decrease in toxicity of the fulfilled gases).
  13. Prop up transmission a cart jack (for the purpose of distribution of loading lay wooden whetstone between a head of a jack and a case of transmission).
  14. Turn out three bolts of fastening of the right support of a suspension bracket of the power unit to an arm at the end of the block of cylinders.
  15. Turn out bolts fastenings of the left support of a suspension bracket to AT case.
  16. Previously having marked, disconnect hoses of a path of cooling of ATF from a forward part of a case of transmission (release clamps by a poddevaniye their screw-driver). Put clamps on the places and remove sealing rings, - rings is subject to replacement without fail. At once to a zakuporta the open ends of hoses and unions in order to avoid hit in system of dirt.
  17. Turn out two fixing bolts and remove assembly of a forward support of a suspension bracket of the power unit.
  18. Manipulating a telfer and a jack, lower the power unit approximately by 50 mm, - try not to allow pressing of the lines of communication laid under transmission.
  19. About the purpose of ensuring access to bolts of fastening of the hydrotransformer take rubber caps from a pallet flange. Turning the hydrotransformer for a bolt of a pulley of a bent shaft serially turn out all bolts of its fastening to a driving disk.
  20. That the hydrotransformer did not move down from a shaft and did not fall in process of removal of transmission, shift it deep into assemblies.
  21. Completely transfer transmission weight to a jack, then turn out the top and lower bolts of fastening of transmission to the engine, - try to remember location of bolts and the assembly arms fixed by them.

On the models equipped with transmissions of AF13 and AF17 do not mix bolts of fastening of transmission with two bolts of fastening of the engine case pallet to it. Once again make sure that all lines of communication are disconnected and nothing prevents removal of transmission.

  1. Having turned out all bolts, shift a jack and separate transmission from the engine, having completely removed it from the directing plugs. Lower a jack and take transmission from under the car, - try not to drop the hydrotransformer. If plugs are put in the nests freely, take from and remove to the reliable place.

Installation

New bolts of fastening of the hydrotransformer to a driving disk and new sealing rings of nipple connections of lines of a path of cooling of ATF will be required.


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Installation is made as it should be, the return to an order of dismantle of components. Pay attention to the next moments:
    1. Before installation banish a tap carving openings of the hydrotransformer, having completely removed traces of corrosion and old sealant from their rounds (instead of a tap it is possible to use an old bolt of the corresponding size, previously having made in it longitudinal spent on drink);
    2. Make sure available on the places of the directing plugs and grease with molibdensoderzhashchy lubricant the directing pin of the hydrotransformer and the aligning plug on a pin of a bent shaft;
    3. Track correctness of installation of transmission on the engine, tighten all fixture with the required effort;
    4. Do not forget to replace bolts of fastening of the hydrotransformer to a driving disk, - on the first a stage bolts drag on by hand, then (in a diagonal order in stages, evenly - with the required effort);
    5. Do not forget to replace epiploons of power shafts (see the Head Stsepleniye and power shafts);
    6. Replace sealing rings of nipple connections of lines of a path of cooling of ATF, track reliability of fastening of tubes;
    7. Do not forget to replace a sealing element of the directing tube of the probe of measurement of the ATF level.
  2. In conclusion fill in in transmission the necessary number of fresh ATF (see the Head Nastroyki and routine maintenance of the car) and make adjustment of a cable of the selector (see the Section Adjustment of the Mechanism of the Choice of Transfers).
