6.3.4. Removal and installation of nozzles
The damaged nozzles can lead to strong detonations during the operation of the engine and be a cause of destruction of bearings. At damage of bearings start the engine on single turns and in turn give cap nuts of fuel-supply lines on nozzles. If at an otdavaniye of any cap nut of a detonation stop, it indicates defect corresponding a nozzle.
The damaged nozzle can be defined also by a consecutive otdavaniye of cap nuts of fuel-supply lines on nozzles in operating time of the engine on the raised single turns. If after an otdavaniye of any cap nut speed does not change, it indicates defect of the corresponding nozzle. It is possible to determine the damaged nozzle also by the manometer at service station.
Signs of damage of a nozzle are:
- Lack of ignition;
- Detonations in one or several cylinders;
- Engine overheat;
- Deceleration of power of the engine;
- Excessively black exhaust;
- The increased fuel consumption.
Removal
|
- Remove the air filter.
- Turn out bolts of fastening and remove a final collector.
- Clear fuel-supply lines.
- Give cap nuts of fuel-supply lines and remove them in a set.
Nuts of fastening of pipelines
|
Do not change a form of fuel-supply lines. |
- Disconnect lines of return of fuel.
- Turn out the holder of a nozzle together with a nozzle at the help of the special OPEL KM-728 tool.
- Remove a sealing ring and a figured washer.

Installation
|
- Lay in an opening for a nozzle in a head of cylinders a new sealing ring and a new figured washer.
|
Convex part of a washer has to look up. |
- Insert a nozzle into an opening so that the tag (1) on a nozzle coincided with a tag (2) on a head of cylinders.
Adjusting tags
- Tighten a cap nut the special OPEL KM-728 tool. At the same time the holder of a nozzle hold from a provorachivaniye a wrench.
Tightening of a cap nut of a nozzle
|
The nozzle at the same time should not be turned, and tags have to coincide. |
- Establish lines of return of fuel with new laying and tighten a nut with effort of 30 Nanometers.
- Establish fuel-supply lines on nozzles and TNVD and tighten cap nuts with effort of 25 Nanometers.
- Install the inlet pipeline with new laying and tighten fastening bolts with effort of 25 Nanometers.
