- Separate the socket of an electrical wiring of the sensor of temperature of the engine and turn out the sensor from the inlet pipeline.

On the 82 h.p. engine of 1.4 l the sensor is screwed in a head of cylinders under DIS ignition module. On l DOHC 1.4 and 1.6 engines the sensor is from a gear belt of the GRM drive. |
- Measure electric resistance between contacts of the sensor and compare the received values to requirements of Specifications in the Head of the Power supply system, release and decrease in toxicity of the fulfilled gases.

- If resistance does not conform to requirements of Specifications in the Head of the Power supply system, release and decrease in toxicity of the fulfilled gases, replace the sensor.
- If the sensor is serviceable, screw it with a new sealing ring with effort of 20 Nanometers.
- Include ignition and measure tension between contacts of the sensor. It has to make 5 ± 0.1 Century. If tension is absent, check an electrical wiring according to the electric circuit (see the Head Onboard electric equipment).
- If the electrical wiring and the sensor are serviceable, means ECM is faulty.
- Fill the cooling system and remove from it air (see the Head of the Cooling system of the engine, heating of salon and air conditioning).
- Make a small trip on the car and check connection of the sensor of temperature for leaks, if necessary bring up him a little.
