4.7.4. Sequence of dismantling of the engine

It is the simplest to carry out dismantling of the engine, having installed it on the portable assembly stand. Such adaptation can always be borrowed rather cheap in a workshop of car service. Before fixing the engine at the stand, it is necessary to remove from it a flywheel / a driving disk, - the engine fastens at the stand by means of the bolts rolled in the block.

If an opportunity to use the stand is absent, dismantling should be made, having placed the engine on a strong workbench, or having reliably arranged it on a firm floor of a garage. During the work without stand you watch that the engine incidentally did not overturn.

If it is planned to make replacement of the engine by restored, remove with old all hinged units and external components and transfer them to the replaceable block. In number such, subject to shift, components enter:

  1. The generator with a basic arm (see the Head Sistemy of electric equipment of the engine);
  2. Arms of fastening of the steering pump, conditioner compressor (depending on a complete set);
  3. High-voltage wires and spark plugs - petrol models (see Chapters of Control and routine maintenance of the car and System of electric equipment of the engine);
  4. Components of power supply systems and decrease in toxicity of the fulfilled gases (see the Head of the Power supply system, release and decrease in toxicity of the fulfilled gases);
  5. The vacuum pump - diesel models (see the Head the Brake system);
  6. The thermostat with the casing (see the Head of the Cooling system of the engine, heating of salon and air conditioning);
  7. The directing tube of the probe of measurement of level of motive oil;
  8. All sensors and switches;
  9. The inlet pipeline and final collector (see the Head of the Power supply system, release and decrease in toxicity of the fulfilled gases);
  10. Oil filter (see the Head Nastroyki and routine maintenance of the car);
  11. Support of a suspension bracket of the power unit;
  12. Coupling assembly, - models with RKPP (see the Head Stsepleniye and power shafts);
  13. Flywheel / a driving disk (see the Section Removal, check of a state and installation of a flywheel / a driving disk).

At removal from the old engine of external components try to remember characteristics of their installation. Fix landing provisions of laying, epiploons, remote rings and plugs, pins, arms, washers, bolts and other fine details in a notebook.

At the choice of the scheme with use of the reduced set of the block consisting of the block of cylinders with established in it by a bent shaft and conrod and piston groups remove from the old unit also a head of cylinders, the pallet of a case and the oil pump (possible alternatives of schemes of performance of capital repairs see in the Section Alternative versions of schemes of recovery repair of the engine).

When carrying out complete capital repairs of the old unit, make its dismantling and take all internal components. The optimum order of removal of knots and details is given below:

  1. Inlet pipeline and final collector;
  2. Cover of the gas-distributing mechanism;
  3. GRM drive covers with bolts;
  4. The GRM drive (a gas-distributing belt / chain with gear wheels / asterisks, intermediate rollers and natyazhitel);
  5. Camshafts with components of the drive of valves;
  6. Head of cylinders;
  7. Water pump;
  8. Case pallet;
  9. Maslozabornik with the mesh filter;
  10. Forward cover / oil pump;
  11. Conrod and piston assemblies;
  12. Bent shaft and radical bearings;
Before starting dismantling of the engine, prepare the following materials, tools and details:
  1. Standard set of the metalwork tool;
  2. A set of cardboard or plastic containers / plastic bags for organized storage of small components;
  3. Scraper for cleaning of the interfaced surfaces;
  4. Vertical drill for removal of step wear in the top part of cylinders;
  5. Stripper for dismantle of a damper of tortional fluctuations;
  6. Set of micrometers;
  7. Telescopic nutromer;
  8. Dial measuring instrument of plunger type (DTI);
  9. The tool for compression of valvate springs;
  10. Hon for processing of mirrors of cylinders;
  11. The tool for a clearing of flutes under installation of piston rings;
  12. Electric drill;
  13. Set of taps and lerok;
  14. Wire brushes;
  15. Cylindrical brushes for a clearing of oil galleries;
  16. Solvent.
