The tension of a chain is provided with the sprung hydraulic natyazhitel who is not demanding service. The considered driving chain it is impossible to separate and use locks to its connection. |
Check
|
|
- Attentively study a condition of bearing necks and cams of the camshaft. In case of identification of zadir or scratches replace a shaft. Check also the condition of working surfaces of bearings of sliding in the support of the case of the gas-distributing mechanism, in case of identification which are not subject to elimination of defects should be replaced a head of cylinders.
- Serially stacking camshafts in prisms, by means of the dial measuring instrument of plunger type determine the size of their radial beating (by bearing necks). At an exit of results of measurements out of limits of admissible range (see Specifications in the Head Dvigateli) the camshaft is subject to replacement.

Installation
L engines 1.4 and 1.6
|
|
- Grease with a thin layer of MoS2 lubricant the rubbing surfaces of hydraulic pushers of valves.
- Grease sealing surfaces of external covers of bearings of camshafts (from a gear belt) on a head of cylinders with sealant, for example, OPEL 15 04 201.
- Carefully install the camshaft.
- Tighten alternately cross-wise for several receptions bolts of fastening of covers of bearings 2 and 4 of inlet camshafts, and also covers of bearings 7 and 9 of final camshafts.

Marking of covers of bearings of camshafts has to coincide with marking on a head of cylinders. |
- Similarly establish covers of bearings 1, 3 and 5, and also 6, 8 and 10.
- Tighten bolts of fastening of covers of bearings of camshafts on a spiral, as shown in an accompanying illustration, with effort of 8 Nanometers.
Order of tightening of covers of bearings of camshafts
- Establish epiploons of shaft by means of the corresponding tool. Previously oil a working edge of epiploons pure motive.
- Establish cogwheels of camshafts (see the Section Removal and installation of cogwheels cranked and camshafts and intermediate rollers (l engines 1.4 and 1.6)).
- Establish a gear belt (see the Section Removal and installation of a belt of the GRM drive (l engines 1.4 and 1.6)).

|
- At first alternately, screw bolts of fastening of covers of bearings 4 and 6 in several approaches, then 3 and 4. Do not tighten bolts.
- Then similarly screw bolts of fastening of covers of bearings 2 and 8, then 1 and 7.
- Tighten bolts of fastening of covers of bearings of camshafts on a spiral from within outside with effort of 8 Nanometers.
