3.1. Schedule of routine maintenance

The intervals of routine maintenance of the car stipulated in the present Section are calculated on independent performance by the owner of the vehicle of all necessary procedures. Duration of intervals was defined proceeding from the assumption that the car is operated in the daily mode. Constantly to support the vehicle in dive of a form, some of procedures for desire of the owner can be carried out slightly more often. Authors of the present manual are sure that receiving the maximum return from the power unit of the car and its other knots and systems can achieve only on condition of a conscientious attitude of the owner to care of the vehicle. It is worth to remember as well about need of maintenance of a trade dress of the car on a case of its resale.

At operation of the car in the conditions of strongly dusty area, an intense city cycle (frequent short trips), and also at frequent towage of the trailer, intervals of performing procedures of routine maintenance have to be, whenever possible, reduced to a minimum. Servicing of the new vehicle, in order to avoid violation of factory guarantee certificates, has to be made on branded HUNDRED Opel.

Each 12 months or 15 000 km of a run (that will come earlier)

On release cars with 09.1994 with diesel engines of 1.5 l (50 h.p.) and 1.7 l (60 h.p.) replacement of oil has to be made each 12 months or 15 000 km of a run (that will come earlier). On other models with the diesel engine replacement of oil has to be made each 12 months or 7 500 km of a run (that will come earlier) within carrying out maintenance.

• Check the engine, RKPP and differential for leaks (see the Section of Check of levels of liquids).
• Replace motive oil and an oil filter (see the Section Replacement of Motive Oil and Oil Filter).
• Delete water from the fuel filter of the diesel engine of models to 08.1997 g of the issue (see the Section Removal of a Sediment from the fuel filter of the diesel engine).
• Check and regulate turns of idling and the maximum speed of the diesel engine of models to 08.1997 g of the issue (see the Section Check and adjustment of turns).
• Check a tension and a condition of a driving belt (see the Section Check of a State and Replacement of a Belt of the Drive of Auxiliary Units).
• Check the OZh level and concentration in it of antifreeze, check a radiator for leaks and pollution (see Sections of Check of levels of liquids and Check of a condition of components).
• Check and charge the rechargeable battery (see the Section Check, service and charging).
• Check system of production of the fulfilled gases existence of damages (see the Section Check of System of Production of the Fulfilled Gases).
• Check the K/V compressor for leaks (see the Section Check and service).
• Replace the air filter of models to 08.1995 g of the issue (see the Section Replacement of the Filtering Element).
• Check a condition of a corrosion-resistant coating of a body and the bottom (see the Section Control of a Condition of an Anticorrosive Covering of a Body and Bottom of the Car).
• Check operability of electric equipment (see the Section Check of Electric Equipment).
• Check and if necessary regulate headlights (see the Head Onboard electric equipment).
• Check wear of brushes of a screen wiper (see the Section Check of a State and Replacement of Brushes).
• Check operability of windscreen washer, situation also liquid level snuffled (see the Section of Check of levels of liquids).
• Replace the battery of remote control of models to 08.1995 g of the issue (see the Head Governing bodies and methods of operation).
• Check thickness of brake overlays of disk brakes (see the Section Check of the Brake System).
• Check GTTs, pipelines and hoses of the brake system for leaks, check the level of brake fluid (see Sections of Check of levels of liquids and Check of a state and replacement of the hoses located in a motive compartment).
• Check wear of tires and pressure of their rating (see the Section Check of a Condition of Tires and Pressure of Their Rating, rotation of wheels).
• Check effort of tightening of bolts of fastening of wheels (see Settings and routine maintenance of the car).
• Check and, if necessary, adjust pressure valve regulator in hydraulic contours of brake mechanisms of back wheels (see the Section Check of the Brake System).
• Check the course of the lever of the parking brake (see the Section Check of the Brake System).

Each 24 months or 30 000 km of a run (that will come earlier)

• Delete water from the fuel filter of the diesel engine of models from 09.1997 g of the issue (see the Section Removal of a Sediment from the fuel filter of the diesel engine).
• Check and regulate valvate gaps on the diesel engine (see the Section Check and adjustment of valvate gaps on the diesel engine).
• Check a power supply system for leaks (see the Section Check of a State and Replacement of the hoses located in a motive compartment).
• Grease a cable of the drive of a butterfly valve (see the Head of the Power supply system, release and decrease in toxicity of the fulfilled gases).
• Replace the fuel filter of diesel and petrol engines to 08.1998 g of the issue (see the Section Replacement of the Fuel Filter)
• Replace the air filter of models from 09.1995 g of the issue (see the Section Replacement of the Filtering Element)
• Replace spark plugs of petrol engines to 08.1995 g of the issue (except DOHC engines) (see the Section Replacement of Spark Plugs).
• Check adjustment of a pedal of coupling (see the Section Check of Adjustment of a Pedal of Coupling).
• Check composition of the fulfilled gases (see the Section Check of Composition of the Fulfilled Gases).
• Replace the battery of remote control of models from 09.1995 g of the issue (see the Head Governing bodies and methods of operation).
• Check a condition of protective covers of power shafts (see the Section Survey of Components of a Suspension Bracket).
• Check the ATF level (see the Section of Check of levels of liquids).
• Check for existence of damages elements of a forward suspension bracket and steering drafts (see the Section Survey of Components of a Suspension Bracket).
• Check gaps and fastening of tips of steering drafts and a condition of their boots (see the Section Survey of Components of a Suspension Bracket).
• Check a condition of boots of spherical support (see the Section Survey of Components of a Suspension Bracket).
• Check protective covers of steering drafts for existence of damages and leak of lubricant (see the Section Survey of Components of a Suspension Bracket).
• Check GUR liquid level (see the Section of Check of levels of liquids).
• Check springs and shock-absorbers of a back suspension bracket for existence of traces of leak of oil (see the Section Survey of Components of a Suspension Bracket).
• Grease stoppers and loops of doors, and also the cowl lock (see the Section Greasing of Locks, loops and an emphasis).
• Check seat belts for existence of damages.
• Check thickness of brake slips drum brakes (see the Section Check of the Brake System).
• Replace brake fluid (each 24 months, irrespective of the size of the passable run) (see the Section Replacement of Brake Fluid).

Each 36 months or 45 000 km of a run (that will come earlier)

• Replace ATF on models with the 90 h.p. engine (see the Section ATF Replacement).

Each 48 months or 60 000 km of a run (that will come earlier)

• Replace spark plugs on petrol DOHC engines, and also on all engines from 09.1995 g of the issue (see the Section Replacement of Spark Plugs).
• Replace a gear belt on petrol engines to 08.1997 g of the issue (see the Head Dvigateli).
• Replace the fuel filter on petrol engines from 09.1998 g of the issue (see the Section Replacement of the Fuel Filter).

Each 72 months or 90 000 km of a run (that will come earlier)

• Replace a gear belt and check a condition of a tension roller on petrol engines from 09.1998 g of the issue (see the Head Dvigateli).

Each 96 months or 120 000 km of a run (that will come earlier)

• Replace a gear belt on petrol engines with 09.1997 on 08.1998 g of the issue (see the Head Dvigateli).
• Replace a gear belt on diesel engines and regulate phases of distribution and TNVD (see the Head Dvigateli).
