13:15. Removal and installation of a forward wing

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove an overlay of a front bumper (see the Section Removal and installation of a slip and the bearing beam of bumpers).
  2. Beat out the core of a rivet (1) by means of the screw-driver and remove a rivet from a loker of a wheel arch.

Fixture of a forward wing

  1. Remove the side index of turn (see the Head Onboard electric equipment).
  2. Record a cowl in completely open situation a persistent bar. Protect a cowl and loops from damage of their paint and varnish covering.
  3. Turn out bolts (2) from a wing, bolts (3) from A rack, and also bolts (4).
  4. Remove a wing from a body. At the same time cut off a sharp knife sealant or heat it the hair dryer.

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. At installation of the antenna on the left wing of the Combo models drill an opening according to the provided scheme. Smooth out opening edges, ground and paint over them.

Drilling marking under the antenna

  1. Smooth out a basic element of a wing on a body and condense it with the film OPEL 90 350 106 (15 05 301) or any other sealing film.

Consolidation of a basic element of a wing

  1. Establish a wing and tighten bolts of its fastening. The distance between a cowl and a wing, and also distance from a back edge of a wing to a forward door has to make 4 ± 1 mm. You watch position of a wing concerning a headlight. The wing has to act over the plane of a forward door on 0 ÷ 2 mm.
  2. Apply a protective wax covering on wing inside.
  3. Fix a loker of a wheel arch.
  4. Establish the side index of turn (see the Head Onboard electric equipment).
  5. Establish an overlay of a front bumper.
