12.2.1. Dismantling, check and assembly of a depreciation rack



  1. Remove a depreciation rack. Assembly components a rack are presented on an accompanying illustration.

  1. Squeeze a spring by means of special adaptation approximately on 10 mm so that it was possible to turn a hand the top support of a rack.

Insert the device in spring rounds so that they were reliably captured and adaptation could not slide off. The spring has to contract surely in two, and it is better - in three opposite points. The spring is compressed with big effort therefore it is necessary to use only reliable adaptation. Do not squeeze a spring a wire at all. The nut of fastening of a rod of the shock-absorber can be given only at the compressed spring.

  1. Give самоконтрящуюся a nut on a shock-absorber rod, holding a rod from a provorachivaniye for a hexagon.

Do not give a nut by means of a percussion instrument not to damage a sealing ring of a rod.

  1. Remove from a shock-absorber rod a plate and the basic bearing with a pro-rate.
  2. Remove from the shock-absorber the top cup of a spring with the damping ring.
  3. Slowly weaken a spring and remove it together with a cover.
  4. Remove the compression course buffer from a shock-absorber rod.

Check and assembly


  1. Check the shock-absorber. For this purpose, holding the shock-absorber vertically, check serviceability of its functioning, both on full, and on short (50 ÷ 100 mm) to the rod course. In both cases resistance has to be soft, equal and constant. At identification of signs of malfunction it is necessary to make replacement of both shock-absorbers.
  2. Check rubber details of a support and a spring for existence of cracks and deformations, if necessary replace defective parts.
  3. Install the new buffer of compression on a shock-absorber rod.
  4. Put on a casing a rod.
  5. Establish a spring on the lower cup and squeeze special adaptation.

The end of a spring has to adjoin to the lower cup.

  1. Establish the damping ring and the top cup. The cup of a spring has to be imposed so that the adjusting opening (an arrow below) was located opposite to the lower fastening of a depreciation rack (an arrow above).

  1. Put on a pro-rate, the basic bearing and a plate of the top support a shock-absorber rod and fix new самоконтрящейся by a nut. Tighten a nut with effort of 55 Nanometers.
  2. Unload a spring.
  3. Establish into place a depreciation rack (see the Section Forward Suspension Bracket).
