11:14. Adjustment of the drive of the parking brake

The parking brake is served by a back drum brake. As brake boots of a back brake are regulated automatically, it is necessary to adjust the parking brake only after its dismantling.

Corsa and Tigra models

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Car back also establish to Poddomkratta it on props.
  2. Release the parking brake.
  3. Pull for cables and check whether freely they go. If necessary, replace cables with new.
  4. Cock the lever of the parking brake on 3 clicks.
  5. Tighten самоконтрящуюся a nut (shooter) on the compensator of a cable of the drive of the parking brake on a back suspension bracket so that both back wheels could rotate only hardly by hand in the direction of the movement of the car.

Cable compensator lock-nut

  1. Release the parking brake.
  2. After adjustment it is recommended to carry out the following inspection. Remove a back stopper from a brake board and light a lamp in an opening.

Control opening

  1. The cam of the lever of the brake drum of both brakes has to adjoin to a wall at the released lever of the parking brake.
  2. Establish a stopper and lower the car on the earth.
  3. Be passed on the car and check operation of the parking brake.
  4. Cock the lever of the parking brake on 8 clicks. Back wheels have to be blocked at the same time and the car should not move.

  1. Car back also establish to Poddomkratta it on props.
  2. Disconnect system of release of the worked reptiles around laying of cables of the drive of the parking brake.
  3. Remove the thermofilter from the bottom.
  4. Release the parking brake.
  5. Pull for cables and check whether freely they go. If necessary, replace cables with new.
  6. Cock the lever of the parking brake on 2 clicks.
  7. Tighten самоконтрящуюся a nut (shooter) on the compensator of the parking brake on a back suspension bracket so that both back wheels could rotate only hardly by hand in the direction of the movement of the car.

Measurement of length of a carving of the compensator

  1. Release the parking brake.
  2. Carry out the inspection of adjustment of a cable of the parking brake described for the Corsa and Tigra models.
